There is a lot going on throughout this country that concerns us and we have decided to try and do more as a band to use our platform to raise awareness and encourage positive change. First off, let it be known The Defending Champions firmly believes BLACK LIVES MATTER. If that makes you feel uncomfortable then you’re part of the problem. Some issues we’re most concerned about are the rising income inequality gap, deep rooted systematic racism, police brutality, and food insecurity.
We have chosen 3 organizations we believe are addressing these issues and we’re asking that you consider donating and supporting these organizations. The ACLU works in courts, legislatures, and communities to defend and preserve the Constitution’s promise of liberty for everyone in our country. For 100 years the ACLU has been defending the rights and liberties guaranteed by the Constitution and laws of the United States.

Toni’s Kitchen
Due to the pandemic food insecurity is on the rise, this is a great organization feeding members of our local community.
Toni’s Kitchen is a food ministry of St Luke’s Episcopal Church in Montclair, NJ. Toni’s Kitchen has served meals since 1982 without interruption. Over 2,000 volunteers now help fulfill their mission. Toni’s kitchen works with more than 60 community partners to ensure children, families and seniors all have reliable access to healthy food. In 2018, they provided 180,000 meals in the community.

South Poverty Law Center
The Southern Poverty Law Center is dedicated to fighting hate and bigotry and to seeking justice for the most vulnerable members of our society. They are focused on issues such as Hate & Extremism, Criminal Justice Reform, LGBTQ rights and Immigrant justice.
